Who are Lithic Skiers?

July 29, 2018 1 Comment

We know we're biased, but we think that Lithic skiers are the best skiers out there.  Are you wondering who else is on Lithics? There's a lot of different skiers on Lithics and they all love their skis for different reasons.  We're taking the summer months to introduce you all to your fellow Lithic Skiers on Instagram.  Want to be featured? Give us a shout at BOURGEOIS@LITHICSKIS.COM!

We started the series off with ourselves, Ty and Paul (photo credits to Jake Martinez).

Skier: Paul Roberts
Age: 31
Occupation: Ski Maker, Co-Owner Lithic Skis
Home Mountain: Stevens Pass, Washington
Preferred Ski Model: Cohen 118, inbounds core
Why the Cohen 118? “I’ve yet to find a condition it doesn’t work well in. It truly is my everyday ski.”

Skier: Ty Bourgeois
Age: 34
Occupation: Ski-maker, Co-owner Lithic Skis
Home Mountain: Stevens Pass and Mission Ridge, Washington
Preferred Ski Model: Arlo 116
Why the Arlo 116? “They ski deep stuff incredibly well but, I think where they really shine, is blasting through the chopped up stuff later in the day. They just don’t get deflected.”

Hi Paul and Ty. Marco Martinez here from Foothills Magazine. I’m checking in to see if you would be open to a profile piece in the November-December issue of Foothills Magazine. It would involve a writer contacting you to set up a time for an interview. Ideally, the photo end would be Jake Martinez stock images. I would contact him to see if that would be OK. Please let me know soon if you are interested. Much thanks!

For Lithic Skis there is no higher calling than crafting the highest quality skis anywhere, ever. As our Washington State-based shop progresses into a fully realized factory, the pride in our craftsmanship grows as well. It would be a mistake, however, to take our confidence as ego-driven. The relationships we build with our customers is based on honest dialogue and a commitment to providing skiers with the best tools to slide down the mountain.
